Rosetta Stone
Ciao WHO!!

I want to learn Italian in the new year and Rosetta Stone has been recommneded. Anyone ever used it?? there seem to be numerous options available to purchase.

advice please.

when I wanted to learn Danish, I bought a book and cd and used memory technique. Rosetta is too expensive and plenty of alternatives out there.

Most of my family are from naples.
Every region has a different dialect which is slightly different but your mrs will put you right.
Only heard of.ros stone...

No problems Mike, it's a cracking app, plus its free so you are hardly risking anything.

Highly recommended in my book, I'm crap at languages but did okay with my french with that

Do what everone else dows talk slowly in english , then shout it in English . But make sure you put on a over the top italitan accent while doing it .

You should be fine .

goose, download the free app 'duolingo'. it's pretty good and will get you to a decent standard without spending loads of dough

It'll cost more but get a private teacher. Will identify your weaknesses and keep you improving.

For info minchia is acceptable in Sicily but not in the rest of Italy.
